The liquid oxygen system was preferred because the oxygen lasted longer, filling was easier, and the canister was easier to carry. When using liquid oxygen patients went out of the house on average for 19.5 hours a week, compared with 15.5 hours a week with gaseous oxygen. Patients used the liquid oxygen for significantly longer (23.5 hours a week) than the gas cylinder (10 hours a week). RESULTS: The walking distance was not significantly affected by the weight of the equipment with either system. The cylinder has a regulator to control the flow. Types of oxygen therapy delivery systems include: Compressed gas: A large, metal cylinder stores 100 oxygen as a gas under pressure. Oxygen systems may be large and stationary for home use, or small and portable. Gaseous and liquid portable oxygen were provided in random order for two eight week periods, and assessments consisted of six minute walking tests, lung function tests, chronic respiratory disease index questionnaires, and diary cards. What are the types of oxygen therapy systems Oxygen comes in gas or liquid form. Find out all of the information about the DEHAS Medical Systems product: trolley-mounted liquid oxygen system EASYMATE PM2300. METHODS: The use and acceptability of liquid and gaseous oxygen was compared in 15 patients with chronic lung disease who had shown an improvement of at least 10% in assessments of exercise tolerance and breathlessness with standard portable oxygen. Panels are supplied pre-piped, pre-wired and factory tested.BACKGROUND: Liquid oxygen is available for portable use and may have advantages over gas cylinders. The pressure switches should be connected to a plant to alarm interface unit (available separately) for local alarm indication and this should also be connected to the central alarm system. All mechanical connections are provided with copper pipe stubs to enable installation utilising the fluxless brazing technique. This ensures that maintenance can be performed on any one regulator without compromising continuity of the supply. The design flow rate of the panel is maintained with one pressure regulator isolated. When locating bulk oxygen systems near above ground flammable liquid storage which may be either indoors or outdoors, it is advisable to locate the system on.Outlet incorporates line pressure gauge to warn of a change in the pressure of the pipeline.Inlet from liquid oxygen tank incorporates nonreturn valve to prevent back flow from standby manifold.Panel comprises of two or more pressure regulators, pressure relief valves, isolation valves, pressure gauges. ![]() Regulates the supply pressure of gaseous oxygen from a liquid oxygen tank and a standby cylinder manifold, and distributes the gas to the pipeline system. ![]()
